ALAN MISHKIN
Mr. Mishkin is native New Yorker and a Chicago transplant who came to Phoenix in 1976. After arriving in Phoenix he was instrumental in helping to shape the future of residential development through the conversion of apartment units to condominiums. During a five-year period, he successfully acquired, converted or built and sold over 1,500 condominiums, winning numerous awards for design.
Throughout his career Mr. Mishkin and his partners owned and operated nearly 25 private and semi-private golf facilities. Among them were the famed Arizona Biltmore Golf Courses, and the Scottsdale Country Club. In 2004 he co-developed the 350-acre Las Palomas Golf Resort in Peñasco (Rocky Point), Mexico. That project entailed ground entitlements, environmental approval from the Mexican Coastal Authority and the planning and design of more than 2,500 high rise and home residential units, meeting facilities and an 18-hole links style golf course. The project was awarded the International Golf Development of the Year by Golf Inc. Magazine International and is considered the forerunner of beach front development for the State of Sonora, Mexico.
Other development and business ventures have included an interest in the Telluride Companies, which own and operate the ski mountain, golf club and related facilities in Colorado; development of a home furnishings retail business offering the exclusive MacKenzie-Childs lines operating in the Arizona Biltmore Fashion Center; development of new restaurant concepts throughout Arizona; part owner of the Los Abrigados Resort in Sedona, Arizona; and as a founding partner of MCW Holdings LLC, a mixed-use real estate development company in Tempe, Arizona. MCW developed Brickyard on Mill, which features 125,000 sq.ft. of "Class A" office space, 105,000 sq.ft. of retail and restaurant space and 115,000 sq.ft. of for sale loft condominiums.

Forrest's philosophy is to create an overall golf experience — one grounded in tradition, enjoyment and suitability to the surroundings. Rather than a style or "look," he believes that the design of a golf course should adapt to each site. The needs of the golfer, the membership and customers who will ultimately play the course are always a paramount consideration. His designs embrace the natural terrain, balancing creativity with natural features and nuances that become integrated to each hole. The routing and flow of his courses embrace the unique attributes of the land. Vistas, wind, sunlight, and even the local culture, are each studied and considered in creating the golf experience.
Richardson is a member of the American Society of Golf Course Architects and is an active participant in various national and international educational programs including ASLA, ULI and others.
